October 27th, 2012 - Henderson Motorsports took part in the 9th Annual Southern Belle Cotton Pickin' 100 over the weekend at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) with team drivers, David Breazeale and Scott Creel, in action. Despite limited starts in a Super Late Model in 2012, Breazeale finished third in the sixth heat race on Saturday night to lock into the eighteenth starting spot on the grid for the $15,000-to-win/100 lap finale on Saturday evening. After not making up any ground in the pack early in the event Breazeale retired early in the feature to a 23rd place finish.

Scott Creel was also in action, and in heat race action on Friday night he finished sixth, and with only the top three finishers moving onto the feature he was relegated to starting fifth in a b-main on Saturday night. Creel would contend for a transfer spot early in the b-main before falling from contention as his weekend came to an early end. Full results from the weekend are available at www.MagnoliaDirt.com.

October 17th, 2012 - Leon would like to let everyone know how much he appreciates the well wishes and support that he's receiving as he continues his recovery from the accident.

He hasn't been able to have the surgery on his elbow yet due to the swelling on his brain from the concussion still being an issue. However, doctors are confident that on Friday they will be able to go in and put the pins in his elbow. If this happens he will get to come home on Saturday.

Leon wants to let everyone know that he will not let this get him down, and he will be back racing in Arizona for the Winter Extreme in January. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

2October 13th, 2012 - It was a rough weekend for Henderson Motorsports at the 18th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi). The team took David Breazeale, Leon Henderson, and Scott Creel into battle, and all three drivers would struggle in time trials, which left them starting deep in their heat race grids. While Creel and Breazeale would have bad luck in their heats, Leon Henderson by far had the worst luck as contact sent him into the turn three wall. The contact would knock him unconscious for a few minutes. He would receive a concussion, broken elbow, and severely hurt knee in the accident. He was transported to the hospital in Meridian for observation of his concussion. He has surgery scheduled for his elbow. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he goes through his recovery. October 6th, 2012 - Henderson Motorsports made the trip to Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) over the weekend for the 6th Annual Gumbo Nationals, which also served as the final event of the 2012 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) schedule. The $7,500-to-win race saw forty-four Super Late Models register for action, and Leon Henderson qualified seventeenth fastest in his group to earn the ninth starting spot for heat race action. With an ill-handling car in the heat Henderson retired before the checkered flag dropped. As a result he started deep in a b-main on Saturday evening. He would advance a few spots through the field early in the event before contact from another competitor sent him spinning from contention, bringing his weekend to an early end.

Scott Creel was also in action, and via time trials he started eighth on the grid in his heat race. He too would fail to make up much ground in his heat race or b-main, but did earn a MSCCS provisional starting spot for the feature. After starting twenty-fourth on the grid in the main event he advanced a few spots early in the 75 lap finale before ultimately retiring to a 21st place finish.
