The $10,000-to-win event drew a field of forty Super Late Models to the oval. January 16th, 2013 - It was a rough outing for David Breazeale and Henderson Motorsports on Wednesday night at Tucson 1International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) in the third round of the inaugural Winter Extreme. An extremely wet track awaited the racers in the event, and after drawing a large number at the pill draw Breazeale was forced to start on the tail of a heat race. With hammer-down conditions present passing was extremely difficult, and as a result David had to run a b-main. In the b-main he was challenging for a transfer spot when engine issues forced him pitside, ending his night early. Full results from the event are available at www.TucsonInternationalRaceway.com.

1January 13th, 2013 - David Breazeale was the sole entry from Henderson Motorsports to take part in the second round of the inaugural Winter Extreme at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) on Sunday afternoon. Fifty Super Late Models entered the $5,000-to-win event, and the day began on a high note for Breazeale, who drew the pole starting spot for the second heat race. Unfortunately he would battle the setup in the heat as he slid backwards in the pack before ultimately retiring from the race.

His heat race struggles left him starting twelfth in a b-main. Despite starting deep in the grid he passed seven cars on the first lap, and one lap later worked his way into the second spot. He went on to finish second to earn the twenty-first starting spot for the 40 lap finale. In the feature the track would take rubber, which made passing difficult. He would ultimatley cross the finish line in the seventeenth position. Full results from the event are available at www.TucsonInternationalRaceway.com.

January 12th, 2013 - Henderson Motorsports opened their 2013 season on Saturday afternoon at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) with the first of six rounds of the inaugural Winter Extreme. Forty-nine Super Late Models registered for battle in the $3,000-to-win race, and after falling just short of locking into the feature via heat race action, David Breazeale earned the third starting spot for the first b-main. He would run just outside of a transfer spot for much of the race before mounting a late-race charge to earn the third and final transfer spot to the main event. He started twenty-third on the main event grid before advancing ten spots on his way to a thirteenth place finish.

Leon Henderson also opened his 2013 campaign in the event, and would narrowly miss locking into the feature via heat race action. He started on the pole of a b-main, and led the opening circuits before slipping to the second spot. He held down the second spot for much of the b-main before a lap car caused him to check up late in the race, which allowed two competitors to slip past. He would go on to finish fifth, which left him two spots short of transferring to the feature as his afternoon came to an early end.
